Cool image Maya ... I love Wolves. Wonder what it would look like if you matched the Wolf eyes to the Chief's eyes?
http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Thanks Ed. Originally I tried that but didn't like how it changed the expression and identity of the chief's face -- in other words it just changed him too much so he wasn't recognizable for who he was...so I opted to just shift the wolf a bit to suggest the meld of the 2. ---Maya

Hi Maya,
Very nice. Did you try making the wolf image larger, showing the man within the wolf? Or, the wolf image smaller, showing the wolf within the man? The offset doesn't confey the melding of the two, to me.

Oh no its NOT, John! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Thanks for giving this a look-see....and I made a slightly modified version just for Ed....a bit of the wolf eye mixed in on one side for just a subtle hint....don't want to change him further though. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gifYep, Soquili, I did try those things also, but the faces just didn't look right with the spaces available so I stuck with this version.
Thanks! ---Maya

Thanks Maya ... you really gave the old chief the EVIL eye http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I was thinking along the same lines as Bill (symbolism of the wolf being his "animal spirit") ... maybe I've seen too many re-runs of Star Trek http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Nice Texture.
http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gifThanks Mike and Ed! Yeah, believe me I tried readjusting and resizing both the wolf and the man every way there was, and they just don't align perfectly enough to look right. I'd have to do an enitrely different picture and basically apply only a few wolf parts because the eye spacing isn't right from wolf to man in order to keep the man still looking like who is really is --- I could do it and make just a generic "could be anyone" Native American, but I wanted to keep it Chief Victorio as he was named "Apache Wolf." I may do some other version later of a shapeshifting wolf/man ... here's a funny one I did quite a while back for a Halloween theme....
