Had to redo the PC umpteen times this month before Xara X finally stuck around long enough to finish this image and all that so I could wish you the happiest of holidays. http://www.thewizzs.com/images/xm2000trein.gif

Andy, your Xmas pic has certainly cheered me up on this cold, wet British night.

    Hi !!!

Japanese, chinese ??? From where are coming these strange characters ?
Only four strokes made with a vector brush; the lines are converted to shapes and the whole is molded. Brush settings are so fantastic in Xara X !!!

This is a revised version of the card we printed for my company.
Simply playing around with the new tools in Xarax.

Although I bought it immediately, life has been too hectic - but figured I would try it today. This forum suggested the topic.

Nothing too fancy - I am still trying to get used to the new features and am hobbled by a complete lack of talent whatsoever.

Still, I managed to make a brush (woo hoo) and played with most of the new features some.

Still, what ended up distracting me is one of my favourite Xara features - the ability to distort Quickshapes symetrically "on the fly". The star started out as a five pointed star, while the snowflakes were all six pointed stars originally. Reminds me of cutting out paper snowflakes as a child...

Had a few glitches - one of the brushes I was trying to create consistently crashed the program, and grouped shapes with various levels of transparency lost their relative transparency when used to create brushes - but nothing serious.

The best of the holidays to all of you, and may flaky brushes be the worst of your troubles in the New Year.
