A problem wiith a Google font and its styles in Xara

No, wrong place. Select the Text Tool and click on the page. Then you will see the Fonts menu on the top left (see attached).

I must be doing something wrong because I have mo google fonts entry in my dropdown in XDPX V 8.1.4.30831. I am trying very hard to follow your instructions and have tried several times. There must be something I am doing wrong.

The google fonts entry comes only with the V9 version of Xara I think... :
