Considering I use a MacBook 99% of the time, I suppose I should show you the one on my MacBook as well?!

Here is mine with a photo I took looking West from the hill behind my house.

My wallpaper changes automatically, and as I wasn't very happy with existing wallpaper managers and the like, and I wanted to size, stretch, and match different kind of multi monitor setups (especially laptop + monitor combos where both screens mismatch). A few years ago I wrote a little too to handle this called WallX. It's free and simple and here:

I have a few favorite combos, but I am particular to the attached one. At first slightly disturbing, I admit. Left side says 'the only tool you will ever need', right side says 'here's the rest of your fur coat'. (Most of my other wallpapers are sweet and swirly pinks, believe me!)
I've just changed mine so here it is. This mushroom cropped up on our lawn and something ate some holes in it I thought it made an interesting subject for an impromptu photo op

How do you see your icons through all that undergrowth? Interesting photo Frances. I kind of have a thing for mushroom art when they are depicted as houses or with fairies flying around them. Oh wait that is a subject I have been thinking about trying to illustrate one day.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Some really nice desktops on show, folks. I have adjusted mine slightly as I didn't like the position of the car as it meant I had to arrange my icons around it. So I lowered it a bit using XDP.
I drew a rectangle 1920 X 1080 (my screen resolution) and placed the image on top of the rectangle. Then I sliced a portion off the bottom of the image and moved it to the top. I took a sample from the top area of the image using the colour picker and then created a multi-step linear fill, again using the colour picker to replicate the slight colour change from left to right, so that the sliced portion matched the original top of the image. When I was satisfied that there was no perceptible join between the modified rectangle and the original, I lined up the two pieces and joined them so that they filled the area of the 1920 X 1080 rectangle and exported the new image for use as my desktop background.
So now the car sits just above the taskbar and I'm pleased with the result. I also replaced a lot of the desktop icons to solve some visibility issues - oh, and I personalised the car's numberplate, too!

Do I get a beaded necklace for showing my desk TOP?
