Hello, I have Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 9.
Do you know which version of Adobe Illustrator the eps export is compatible to?
I need to produce .eps files compatible with Illustrator 8 or 10, is there a way to set this?
Thank you very much.

Sorry I cannot answer this. Is Illustrator 8 or 10 not backward compatible?

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Illustrator 8 and 10 are old versions.
Microstock agencies don't accept illustration if they are not compatible with those versions.
This is why I need to produce .eps files that are readable by Illustrator 8 or 10.
Open the file in note pad, and see what says.
This is an example (the .eps file contains only a black rectangle):

If it is just plain vectors with no RGB effects like shadows, transparencies and extreme colour fills it will export to illy no problems. If there is loads of text then it will not be editable at all as each letter will import to Illy as a shape. Other solution is to export as a PDF then you will have all the text still editable. Have no experience of P & G Designer 9 but have 2013 and both, PDF and .eps, export to Illy CS 6 without problems because up until fairly recently all my basic work was done in D Pro and then taken to Illy for finishing with my job.
Design is thinking made visual.
