Welcome to TalkGraphics
Do you want the background to be transparent?

Arr yes, transparent background.
Now how do i set it to transparent?
thanks for reply gwpriester
I'm assuming your image is rectangular, so firstly, use Xara's Rectangle Tool (keyboard shortcut - M) to cover the rectangular area you wish to use, then place it behind the image and select both objects. Now perform a clipview operation (keyboard shortcut - Q). Select the clipped object, then go to the File Menu and choose "Export".... In the dialogue box that opens, go to the Colour Depth Box, click on the little black triangle and choose "True Colour + Alpha" Then click on the export button.
Bob.

Philbert - Can you show us (upload an image) the object that you want to have a transparent background. It is hard to give you the correct advice without knowing this.
