On the first page, import a bitmap. Delete it. Open the bitmap gallery, select the bitmap you just deleted off the page, and click the Background button, selecting Set Pasteboard background.

Repeat with different bitmaps on all paages.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics ToveGB

There are two different areas that can be filled with a bitmap or color or gradient: The Page and the area around the page, The Pasteboard.

You can drag and drop colors from the screen palette onto the page or pasteboard. You can add a bitmap fill to the page or the pasteboard with the method Egg suggests.

There are three types of backgrounds in the Designs Gallery (see attached), Gradient, Tiling, and Headers. All of these can be modified by the user. The tiling patterns can be recolored and resized.

If you drag and drop a background image onto the pasteboard it will also appear for the page background unless you drag and drop a color onto the page.

Finally (will Gary never shut up?) if you want different colors/textures for the pasteboard backgrounds on different pages, in the Page Options > Page Size menu, un-check All Pages Are The Same.
