Look at the bottom of the Photo Slideshows Widgets folder. There are several Zoom widgets that let you mouse over an area and display a larger version.
You can also use pop up layers to display larger versions of images when the visitor mouses over certain images. See this page http://www.gwpriester.com/Logo-Design.html
Each larger logo is displayed on a pop up layer. The thumbnails link to the pop up layers via a Website Properties > Mouse-over > Show Pop-up layer.

Thanks, Gary, but in this case I need to insert the HTML code and CSS etc. into WordPress website.
I tried to do that and it seems not trivial at all...

Hi Alex,
Unfortunately the onMouseOver action has been removed from Xara animation options but still has an onclick action. The help file still says differently.
Attached is a xar animation that can create what you're after. It's just a quick and ugly example.
After having Xara create the swf I run it through Google Swiffy to create an html5 page which you should be able to place in an iframe in Wordpress. You won't be able to alter it via html or css though.
You can view the swiffy output HERE

Three months is not too long to wait for the correct answer.
Thanks Egg
