Hi there,
I have a problem with the text-content. each row of content text is written in a seperated span-tag. can I paste the content in only one span-tag, because our seo-specialist means to many span-tags gives a problem to google.

Hi Olitopia, using the yellow tag icon give your textbox the name HTMLBlockText
Amazing! it works!
Ok, I have 3 paragraphs in a text block, each paragraph has say three lines. This means we have 9 span tags for each line wrapped in a div tag. Xara provides this for precise positioning of the element. Fair enough. I don't know much about HTML but I can see this if I look at the file.
What does the HTMLBlockText do? I have tried applying this with the Names function like how it has been described above, but can not tell the difference in the code.
Just wondering what I am missing?
Cheers
Nick

False alarm, all working as one would expect.
I thought something was wrong with the object and I was right, it was a text line not a text area. Fixed this and it works.
So then, is there really a SEO benefit to this? After all we are doing this to raise profiles.
I use Mozilla FF there is a plugin you can get called textise. It renders the page "just like how a search engine would see it". And Xara pages look ok to me.
I always wanted to see the <p> tags as opposed to <span>. I suppose now I go change everything?
Cheers
Xara stuff validates fine. With the spans even. Remember also it is not an html editor and is designed so you don't have to worry about the html it produces on publishing. Keywords, sufficient text relevant to the title [though not too much], quality links ... all much more important than spans. :-)
