can anyone tell me where I can re download extreme v5, I have my serial etc but have lost the cd.
Retired now so dont want to upgrade
I've logged into my xara account but cannot see a download option

Hi Ian,
Go to http://support.xara.com/ and login; you should see your files/programs to download.

Hi tried that but the link given is

which is not a valid link
any other ideas?

The issue is that when you follow the link and select legacy products, v5 you are asked if you want to install by either cd or download if you select download then you get this link
http://xara.com/uk/downloads/xtreme/
which sens you to thedesigner purchase page.
Seems you can no longer download v5??

I just tried my account, I'm in the US but this should not make a difference, and I have serial numbers and download links that go way back.
Try starting at this link http://www.xara.com/uk/servicecenter/
Log in and then click on My Products

problem is that http://www.xara.com/uk/servicecenter/
does not list extreme v5
and the other link diverts to the latest designer software.
I have solved the problem by downloading via a file sharing site ( which I hate using) and then using my genuine serial no

If you purchased from Xara and registered you should be able to log on to your account this will then allow you to access your products and serial nos. and download again. You must log in, if you cannot remember your log in information but hopefully you remember your email that you used Xara will email you the information you need to change your password if need be. If you have changed your email and not updated your user information then contact Xara support. Long story short you need to log on to get what you want.
