Main Tool Bar disappeared...

Win7/64/XaraX. Have no idea how this happened. When I opened XaraX this AM there was everything as normal except the Main Tool Bar on the left. I saw nothing in the Windows Menue, nor any of the other menues that would give me a clue. Any suggetions appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Gilbert.

I'm not sure about XaraX, but, you might be able to go to the 'Window' menu, then you might have an option called 'Control Bars...'
If you click on that option, then you might be able to see if 'Toolbar' is checked?

Well, that's how it works in Xara Designer.

I did the Window menue and bars. No Tool Bar, but when I tried to select a bar the app crashed. I've sent a support request to Xara, just though someone here might have an idea. Thank you.

This might be tricky: start Regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\XtremePro\8.1\ select the key BarsNormal and rename it (for instance type two 9's behind it.

But eb aware that editing the registry is not something you're to do on a everyday occassion... There's danger overthere!

Start Xara and I'll bet the bars are like the default install.

I did it, nothing changed. I get the feeling I'll have to reinstall the software.

I just checked X Pro, and Rik is correct. Go to windows/control bars and from the menu that opens make sure toolbar is checked.

Unfortunately there is no Toolbar in the Bars under Window. It may be coincidental but this seems to have happened when Microsoft did their latest download.

There are two selections, Bars, and Control Bars, the one you want is Control Bars.

What about selecting Window > Control Bars > Reset?
That will reset it back to the default.
