JET, I think we are both saying much the same thing. One tool providing both functionality. Didn't intend to be insulting; apologies if taken that way

@Jet
if the Xara developers are following this thread, there is no way around improving the tool.
If they are not, they are missing out a very rational and straight to the point discussion about the possbilites to drag over disgruntled Adobe users....
Bloody hell - is this thread still inexorably dragging its way to nowhere?
He is probably, like me, well used to Xara's lack of attention when it comes to requests for vector tool improvements. That's not a reason not to mention it again, but this post is probably already two and a half pages too long.
Well, IMO, you're preaching to the converted and reaching out to the deaf.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

Not a good idea to mess with the registry if you don't know what you're doing. You can download XaReg2 from my sig and you can do it from there if you like [ General>>show pen tool in flyout]. Close your Xara program before using XaReg then open it again from there :-)

Hi Pawel.
You have to start the Registry Editor.
With respect, if you don't know what that is, then leave well alone.
Once you start 'regedit', then you can navigate to the registry setting shown in Post #84 and make the change I mention.
And, just in case I've not mentioned this before: You make changes to the registry at your own risk.

I am confused. Let's start over. What is the pen tool again?

Developers, get inspired and give the tool some love. Thanks.
