very nice Frank as always just glad the text didn't go "stick and stone" .... last part "and whips and chains excite me" because that really would have been a horror concept..lol
cheers am

Avoiding Manual Labour.
Some elements make it look like a horror poster (the dark colors, the fonts, the fire) and others not that much: the sky looks too peaceful to me and the cross too thin and/or too straight.
I do not know what the fire thing at the center is. It conveys something ominous but it is too blurry and the sun (?) in the middle makes it something of the day and not the night.
The font size of the rhyme seems a bit too large and perhaps skewing the letters would give it more of a jarring feeling. Does the fire thing relate to the rhyme?
Let me finish by saying that I do not like horror movies, so perhaps I am not the right person to critique your work.
I like it, especially how you highlighted the title and how you repeated the "hurt me", "hurt me". But I am still not crazy about the fiery thing: it attracts all the attention but I don't know what I am looking at.
Like the repetition of the words, Hurt Me.
i have no idea what the fiery thing is, i suspect is it an incarnation of evil
or an incarnation of the power of evil words
who knows?
i didnt realise how bland version 1 was until i did version 2
the elements were unconnected
now the title and the fiery thing are connected
the bookseller and the deep ominous fiery thing are clearly connected
the cross on the skyline tries to stand proud and poserful
but it is thin, leaning and is powerless and weak compared to the central image
is the cross a grave, a church, a symbol of good over evil?
you have to go watch the movie to find out who the bookseller is
but whoever he is
he wants to
hurt me

at least the poster's done, lol
