Cant see skype button widget on page

Anybody know the steps or tricks needed to get this working, using the widget didn't work as the button is invisible when published (although i can see the code in the html) Making a placeholder then creating an image and "Replace with html code" in web properties with the code skype provides also didn't work. Appreciate any suggestions.

Not sure about Skype but some of these widgets only appear when you publish to your web host. You can create a test file and upload it to the server and see if it works.

Ah, never mind, I just tried it. After you configure the Skype button, select the entire script, then copy (Edit > Copy or press Ctrl C) and then press Insert and wait a few moments for the button to materialize.

Almost all widgets require you to copy the code to the clipboard, but Xara or the widget creators do not always tell you this. Then you press Insert.

This is true for all versions up to and including 8.
From version 9, the built-in web server for Preview mode resolves this issue.
