Default Fixed header on page and scrolling remainging page

    Good afternoon,

Can anyone assist me in setting up a header which I want to add logo and menu bar but then have the rest of the site scrolling under it ?
I can post an example of a site to show the effect I'm trying to achieve if that helps ?

    Cheers

It's an adaptation of Covoxers 'Fixed Tab' tweak (found here) whereby anything placed on the !FixedTab layer that the tweak creates, will be fixed in the position you place it.
The rest is up to you..

I've got an existing photographic site.
I saw this tweak and thought it would be great to have the top of the page and navbar fixed in place so that the images scroll underneath it.
Have sort of cracked it, but when I try to drag the navbar group onto the !FixedTab layer, it wont let me.
Just to see, I tried dragging a new navbar from the designs menu, but it automatically puts it onto the mouse off and mouse over layers.
So how do I get a navbar onto the !FixedTab layer?
    Many thanks,
    Mike

    You cannot.

What you are trying to do isn't possible as it requires a mouseoff and a mouseover layer for the navbar. You cannot create these two layers on another layer.
All you can do is to create links on that fixed header layer.

    Hi sledger,
Then how did you do this?

    http://xara-users.info/demos/fixed-top-menu/index.htm

Are those the links you mean?
If so, how id you get the text to change colour on the mouse over?

    Thanks,
    Mike

If the text is linked, it will automatically change as per your settings in the Website menu in Website Properties. This works differently than a mouse over layer.

Of course I could be more full of it than a Christmas goose.

I just tried it and linked text on the !fixedtab layer has a mouse over effect without a mouse over layer. And unchceck the underlined links option.
