How are you generating the tag cloud, is it some sort of external widget or code you need to embed. webdesigner does not have any native way to generate tag clouds, those are native to blogging platforms such as wordpress but not to webesigner.
Thanks for your response, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious before finding something external to use.
You can create a tag cloud with various services and then embed them into the website, have a look at the following page http://www.maketecheasier.com/5-onli...uds/2012/01/10 most like tagcroud give a piece of code to embed into your site (>web properties >placeholder >replace with html code >html body
That's really as much as can be done (as far as I know), don't know about linking the tags, so have a play with some of the offerings out there.
Linked auto generating tag clouds need a live and dynamic database.
Software like Wordpress and Joomla have tag cloud plugins/mods. But you can't really do this other than a one-time-graphical tag cloud generator from random words crawled from your site which have no relevant links.
And as Web Designer is not even a HTML editor (therefore has no internal HTML to generate tags before publishing) there's no way to do this in Web Designer.
Steve is right, the tags cannot be live, but the tag cloud widgets above can be linked by adding urls's to each tag, but then you could do this on webdesigner anyway by simply linking the text to the relevant page, although they may be a widget which can scan your site and autogenerate the tags so that all you do is embed the widget, or is that just wishful thinking on ma part.
Thanks for all this info. I think the answer is just to go off and explore now.
Thanks again
