Xara Crashes

I'm having repeated problems with Xara 9 crashing when trying to open OR working on older files I've created in the recent or distant past, either one.
This has become such a problem that I've ceased to use version 9 and gone back to PRO X.
Yes, I've filled out numerous reports to Xara.

Zooming in on an object and editing/drawing seems to still be an issue among other things.
Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem along these lines.

I have the same problem, Ron. Hardly have a work session without encountering
error messages of one sort or another. Worst of all is when Xara corrupts its own
"saved" files. When I try to open the files after a crash, it states that the file
is empty. Fortunately, the backup files get me back to a previous point, but still
lots of time and work wasted.

Hi Ron,

Do your files contains Photoshop plugin effects? Have you altered the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) settings for the new version of the program so that they allow the Photoshop plugins to work reliably?
