    Question Change Overall Website Size

    Hello Talkgraphics Chums,

I have asked this question before back in 2009, but the solution does not appear to work for Designer Pro X.

I have built a website from a template and i want to increase the width to 960 from its current 800 which i think is way too narrow.

    The question is:

Can this be done for the whole site at once and will all the graphics increase to fill the space etc?

I have searched the forum but cannot find a thread that answers this question.

    As always

Many thanks to anyone that answers in advance.

    Kind regards

    Nick

Nick, so what was the 2009 pre-XDPX solution?

In XDPX, you can open Options > Page Size and change a page (at a time) to 955 px or some Custom value.
You could then ensure all objects on all layers were visible and select them.
Once selected, you could extend the bottom right control and extend it to the rightmost edge of your new page size.
If you have different page heights, you would have to adjust the Custom page size individually.
You would need to work with Multiple Page View off.

I can see problems with objects that were set to Repeat on All Pages as these would be expanded each time they were selected so you may have to exclude them after the first expansion.

From my above, I would suggest you can not just "grow" the site.

Do keep a master copy of your .xar file and experiment on a copy.

Thank you for the reply Acorn,

Yes thats what i thought, was hoping that someone had a magic wand...lol

Will have a play around with a copy of the website and see where that takes me.

    Many thanks
