When editing a bitmap fill (size, rotation, position, etc.), the resulting
changes are currently observed only inside the filled object. We often
reposition the fill in order to find the area of the bitmap where the texture
works best. This is now a hit-or-miss operation requiring the bitmap
to be moved about in random fashion since it cannot be seen in its entirety.

I suggest that during the editing phase of a fill, display the bitmap fill in its
entirety. During editing, the portion of the bitmap outside the filled object is
displayed with transparency as shown in illustration above. Seeing the entire
bitmap would help determine exactly how an edit is affecting the fill and allow
the user to move the most desirable part of the texture onto the object with certainty.

This is a feature used by other software and makes editing and positioning texture
on objects very fast and efficient.

[1] Place object to be filled 'on top' of the bitmap
[2] Set the object transparency to 50%
[3] Position the object to be filled over the area of the bitmap you want
[4] Select the bitmap and and object to be filled - Press Ctrl+3
