Hi Rich, now that looks as if you have spent quite a few hours drawing that one it looks great. Would it be possible for you to post the wireframe of it so I can see how complex it is?
My best Tabian
Well,
It takes a while to render the plugin if you have lots of tracing objects. I just had my morning coffee.
It is more manipulation than drawing. The image in this post was run through Art Works to simplify the color areas for the trace.
I made a trace in Xara and ungrouped. Then applied Eye Candy Chrome. I use my own environments, and that may have an effect.
A multiple selection will get each object treated. A group would look like one object.
I made a bitmap copy, and deleted the vector trace. The result was overlayed onto the image , and set to Stained Glass transparency.
The I drew a rectangle in front and set it to saturation Transparency. Then selected an appropriate gray scale to adjust the transparency.
Some times I may use an additional object to boost the saturation.
So, you can see it takes longer to explain then do.

Cool image Rich! I really like what you did with the colors.

Marc,
It is just the way the combination of layers changes the natural colors. It seems as though water in the shadows gets a blue cast. The rest is a matter of saturation. The problem is reducing the size of the areas of color so that you don't get too many objects. It takes a very long time to apply the plugin.

Thanks Rich for the insight most impressive. I really do have to get to grips with plugins maybe if I check out Youtube or XX I might find a vid or two to help me on my way...
Tabian
Very nice Rich. The water looks very thick and viscous like oozing molasses.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Image after Art Works, and the EC4000 overlay.

Rich there is something about the silver raised and embossed look that I really like, at least thumbnail size.
