Hi G,
is there a edge slide feature in Wings allowing
to pre-determine the number of edeges?
How does it works?
Thanks in advance.

I am not exactly sure of your question Emel...
to get the cube to what you have there, only with even end segments as in apposed to sliding things into place, you would have had to extrude out two opposite sides at a time, and to do so evenly you would...
... select two opposite sides, choose extrude region >normal and right away hit the tab key and dial in say .05 for instance and hit enter...
... then deselect, select two more sides complete and repeat above, then the remaining whole sides and also repeat and whoila, a bit of work and the cube looks like what you have there...( the easiest way to select the whole sides of the cube which have the nine quads here would be to simply select the middle face and then hit the + key or whatever you have bound to the increase selection command
to select 3 edges in a row for a "slide" you would select the middle longest edge there and then hit alt/L (no capitalization required ) to increase your edgeloop selection... etc... right click and slide away...or use your slide Hotkey
if I have missed your question in either of these reply comments please let me know, and we will take it from there
Perhaps to add to gidgit's suggestion, if the corner polygons are not critical, you could simply select all the faces and do an inset command.
One step and you would have it.
See attachment.
Thanks for help...I believe this is obtained trough a plug-in. Must look for it.
