pop-up - where the heck is the magic coming from?

Today's question is about "pop-up" layers, or where the heck is the magic comming from?

1. where is the code that controls the pop-ups?
   I would like to edit the larger pop-up image to include a "buy it now" button, or a link.

Well, they act like High Slide pop-ups but there is no info in the Website Properties > Image section.

Although I am interested in knowing the mechanics, the real goal is to:
create a Galley
click small image> popup a larger image that has a button, link, etc.
there are several versions of Xara to do this. What is the most current way?

Use popup-up layers - this gives you full control over every aspect
