I was asked about this, so attached is the shortcut info as promised set up to always start DesignerPro.exe using processor core 0 only - this works for me in windows 7 64bit [in 32bit, as I recall, you would leave out the '(x86)' in the lower string]
it's worth mentioning that you should do it for a reason such as a battle for resource between competing programs, not just because you can
note - the affinity switch set to [followed by] 1 means core 0 - and an affinity switch set to 2 would mean core 1 - [etc ] - such is the joy of hex, or so I'm told
restricting xara to using just one processor core does in theory slow it down, but on the other hand if another program you want to run at the same time is restricted to another core it could stop them coming to blows; maybe
if none of this makes any sense there is always google and bing [neither of which I see are in my new x64 spell checker ] et al
