Placeholder for widget button huge after upgraded to X

I recently ugraded to Pro X from designer pro 7, now when I use my e-commerce widget to add a "add to bag" button the button looks its correct size, but the place holder or background is half the size of the page, I have to drag the corners and manually resize each time I add a new button. before this never happened. Here is a screen shot. The cart company said it was something in Xara, I asked them to have a look at it first?
