    Default 1956 Buick Special

This is my take on a 56 Buick. I love to customize my cars. This has shaved door handles and emblems, lowered, push button doors and a electric trunk. I also gave it a blended paint job.

Lovely work. The combination of colours works really well and helps give drama to the picture.

That's a beauty, Merv. I remember looking at these in the showroom when I was a young boy.

Might not have been the same year but I bought one of those when I was in the service for $100.00, Didn't have it long though because I couldn't afford the insurance to get it on base. I kept it at a guys house. Anyway we were stationed in the desert and it was winter and a warm day so me in my short sleeved shirt walked to where my car was, and changed a headlight, then back to town. On the way back it started to get cold and snow, no place in town had a herater so I could warm up and I just got colder and colder, finally the bus came to take me back to base. The first stop I make was at the PX to buy a jacket cause by that time I was so cold and shaking like a dog passing razor blades. Anyhow thanks for the memory Merv.

Thanks Gray and Larry, I'm glad I could bring back some memories Larry. My dad had one of these and let me use it on Sundays to take my girlfriend (now my wife of 47 yrs this month) to Church. He was going to give it to me till some drunk broadsided him and totaled the car, dad was fine, of course the drunk wasn't hurt.

Looks cool Merv. I had a 55 Buick Century back in the day.
