    OK.
    The problem is that you've got the 'Blend images' icon selected, instead of having the 'Image transparency Off' icon selected when you are carrying out your operation.

    I just read your comment about IcoFx. I prefer IconLover because it's tab-based, and I find it more convenient.

    test... it does actually attach - it's just that, being so small, it only appears as a very small thumbnail...

    This is how it apeared on my screen - 16x16.
