Welcome to TalkGraphics
When you import the graphics into Web Designer, select the image with the Photo Tool and press the Scale Photo to 100% icon (see attached) on the Infobar.
This changes the resolution to 1:1 or 96dpi, Windows screen resolution.

Which version of Xtreme Tony?
For example, in Xtreme 5 Options>>View [tab] you can set Import at dpi specified in the file which is the file is 72dpi (typical PS output) will look smaller in Xtreme. So change the import to 'Import at 96dpi (standard for Windows).
See if that helps
GWP got ahead of me

Tony's profile shows WD7 sledger. So I am assuming that an image large than the default is being made smaller, and the resolution is higher.

Yes, Gary - it also shows 'xara xtreme' and the title of the thread suggests he is editing the graphics in xara xtreme, so I chose to approach it from that angle.
Between the both of us, we have him covered
Why not just open the original image instead of importing from the web. Just use the developer tools in Opera, Firefox, IE, Safari--whatever browser you are using. Then use the developers tools to discover what the image is, display it in another tab, and right-click over it and save it to your hard drive. Then simply open it.
Take care, Mike
