Fill help

This is from Xara tutorials, July 2006, A Touch of Glass. I'm having trouble with the circular fill on this shape. It is filling the outline instead of the inside image. I'm not sure what I did wrong but nothing I do will get the color to fill the whole thing and not the outline. You can see the green color in the bottom outline in the screen shot. Please help. Thanks.

It sounds to me like the lines were converted to shapes and that's why you are having this trouble. I' not exactly sure what you can do about that other than making a new shape like the one you want to fill, when the shape turns black or whatever you have your fill set as then the circular fill should work.

I think Larry has nailed this one, but when asking for help on Xara Xone tutorials if you could post a link to the tutorial you are doing and the page on which you are having trouble it would greatly assist us in helping you.

So you think that at some point when I converted to shapes, I had the lines selected when they should not have been? I think I'll start over and watch out for that. I will remember to add a link next time, Angelize. ~Thanks.

What you probably did was to select convert lines to shapes from the arrange menu at some point.

Yes, I'm doing that part again and I believe it's working this time......so far....

Thank you, I did go back and do that part again and finished the tut! A very good tut. Mine was a different theme, though.
