Anyone know if XDP AI or EPS will import as Vectors in After Effects?
...for that matter, is there a workflow to get a vector shape path from Xara into AE?

Yes you can do it many ways but I have found that PDF works the best from Xara. Remember that transparencies will be flatten and all other RGB effects so keep it simple. If you are using Illy then to copy paths between Illustrator and After Effects, make sure that the Preserve Paths option is selected in the Files & Clipboard section of the Illustrator Preferences dialog box from the Edit menu. The same rule applies for RGB effects in AI as it does in Xara so you can flatten using the Raster command or the Flattener Preview in the Window menu. By the way I hate using After Effects programme it has a so un-natural interface after using Flash for so many years.

Thanks Albacore,
Vector Paths from Xara are what is needed.
Not a rasterized version. I'm trying to avoid using AI, (although copy/paste works well)
Are broadcast animations made using flash?

PDF is a vector format

PDF good point, but for some reason the PDF is not showing as an editable path in AE.
