What if Google had chosen Cooper instead of Berthold Catull?

I used Coolsville to make a close-ish approximation to the logo on the Rolling Stones album "Between The Buttons" (1967)

Coolsville also made an appearance on Spirit's eponymous debut album from 1968. The "S" and the "R" had been modified, so I had a go at reproducing it.
Also the first album from Traffic - Mr. Fantasy (1967) used Coolsville, as did their record company Island Records at that time. Mr. Fantasy was the first of many truly fine albums released by the band, fronted by Steve Winwood.

Great plays Rik, Bob, and Larry!

I've been experimenting with a technique for creating text that appears to be impressed into a surface and I thought I'd turn my experiment into a font play!

The cool thing about this technique is I can still edit the text!

You can use some of the Live Effects in Xara to pull an emboss out of text, and I think you discovered that because Cooper is such a bold font, you can emboss it AND use a texture.

The only real difference between your font play and mine, is that everyone knows cats could care less about a fancy rug you buy them. They lay on anything they like.

You haven't met my Shih Tzu! He is the true master (we are his servants!)

I didn't use live effects on my play, it's all vector. I did use some fractal plasma transparencies and it is the combination of an opacity mask and soft grouping that allows me to still edit the text.
