computer always saving

I am new at this and when I am working the computer is slow and always saving. I make one click and have to wait for 20 seconds to make the next click. I cant work on the web site....help

I have moved your topic to the Xara Web Designer Chat forum since this appears to be the software you are referring to.

Xara is set to do a back up every 10 minutes. You can change this setting in Options. (see attached).

You can also disable back ups by removing the check.

BUT, back ups are very useful. Every so often, Web Designer will crash or close unexpectedly, as will most software. If you have back ups enabled, you can go to File > Open Recent > Backups... and open your last back up. If you have back up set to 10 minutes, then you will only have lost 10 minutes of work.

How much memory does your computer have? How big is the website?

It sounds like your computer is paging to virtual memory on the hard disk.
