Question Webdesign Pro 7, what have I done here?

    Hi everyone,

Ok, on my main PC, I select a website template from the design gallery, double click it and it appears ready to edit. If I click on another page in the same website in the design gallery, it swaps with the previous page. That's how it should work.

If I go to my laptop and do the same thing, the page does not swap, single clicking the page does nothing and double clicking opens the page as a separate document which is not what I want.

Anyone have any idea what I've turned off or on on the Laptop?

Tried searching the forum but it seems such an obscure thing.

    Regards, Jeff.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics Jeff

I have no idea but some laptops work differently from desktops.

I have been giving Xara lessons to a person who uses a laptop and a touchpad. I was showing her how to toggle between open Xara documents using Ctrl Tab. But this acted like Alt Tab on my desktop and toggled through open applications. And the opposite, Alt Tab toggled through her open Xara documents.

What happens if you open the file that works correctly on your desktop in your laptop?

And do you use a mouse, pen, or touch pad?

    Hi, thanks for the help.

Both the desktop and laptop are using Windows 7 ultimate and I use a mouse on both. Using the touchpad on the laptop does the same as using the mouse, i.e. not a lot

A file from the laptop works correctly on the desktop.

Looks like a setting I've altered, I must admit to using the laptop more than the desktop and could have modified some setting in there.

    Regards, Jeff.

might be worth checking your windows folder options - see if they differ ?

windows explorer: organise menu > folder and search options > folder options general tab

[thats for win7 home premium - ultimate may br different]

    Ok, sorted it

I did a "check for update" from the help menu and found there was a later version (Oct 2011), let it update and all is back to normal. I still can't fathom what happened but at least it is fixed now and I can go back to using the laptop

Cheers for all the suggestions guys.

    Regards, Jeff.
