Well, as I said earlier, it could be done in XaraXtreme or XaraWeb Designer, but I don't know if they were specifically what was used. The basic idea is that two completely separate Xara3d-generated animated gifs were placed on top of each other in a gif frame editor of some sort. If you had the animated gifs, they could be merged frame by frame in XaraXtreme or Xara Web Designer, one being in the background of the other, though it would take a bit of work.
Why not tackle it one step at a time, and not worry too much about the merging for the moment, and create your two animated gifs, starting with one until you are happy with it, then doing the other?
And again as I said earlier, one should have a background, and the other, the "front" one should have a transparent background. Both should be the same size preferably, and have the same number of frames. Because they are separate animations, the basic animation types (ie, Rotate or Swing) used in one needn't be the same in the other.

hi ive tried using xaraxtreme but i cant do it on there but i am only learning still. on the site i got them from there is loads on there alot of people use it but wont tell u how it was made why i dont know emma
Well, I can talk you through the XaraXtreme process when you have a couple of animated gifs to use, and we can use them as examples in a tutorial. Or if you would prefer, I can create a couple of simple examples of my own and create a tutorial that way.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Well done, Emma, I'm glad you got what you wanted.
Does Aurora 3d do all that in one package?
Mike
