Yes however you may need to do some adjusting of the size to keep it form tiling.

thanks.
do i import? import animation? or just open?
You can use a gif as a background image but not as an animated gif. It will not animate.
If you have Xara Photo & Graphic Designer or Designer Pro you could manually integrate two animated gifs.

The objects in the foreground of the animation on the left look to be made in Xara3D as to which version, it could be any of them. The shimmering animation in the background was not made in Xara3D and the composite animation was not made in Xara3D.

ok thanks
u'd think there'd be a program that could do it all instead of using 2 or 3 just to make 1 pic lol
Bill is correct,
To get your background as a gif you need to go to the texture options select background and load textures (your gif in this case). As Bill said it will not animate, it's sort of like a wallpaper.
In the examples you posted, the first one appears to use two different animations, one for the rotating objects and another for the text. That is not possible as far as I know. You can only use one animation type. but those can be varied on the different objects by using the I-beam to select the particular object. For instance you can rotate objects in different directions at the same time but you cannot rotate one and swing something else at the same time. The second one looks doable.

There are, but you will be getting into 3D programs such as Blender for example. The problem here is they are very difficult to learn or at least the learning curve is steep.
Blender is a free program and if you hurry Daz is offering Bryce 7.1 for free. But that offer is going to end very soon.
