flash elements out of stage

hi, i recently started to work in flash. I've imported a big dimension file from photoshop, into flash. The problem is, when I test the video, the elements are huuge cause they dont fit in the dimension of the stage.I tried to make them small but the animation gets totaly messed up cause not all the frames fallow the comand. I've looked in all the properties and settings I could acces but I have no idea how to adjust the dimension of the file or the stage. I have this problem just with imported layered files from photoshop. The size of the flash file is 1024/768px. Thank you! Good luck to you all!

resize the file first in photoshop?

in xara if you use the buttons in the top right of the frame gallery to make all frames editable and all frames visible you can then select all the imported elements and resize them in one go
