index_2.htm ???

Hi,
since I moved from XWD6 to 7, each time I produce a web site, it generates an inde.htm file that has no action, and an index_2.html file that actually loads the site.
Is this normal? If yes, why is that?
If I publish my web site, then it displays an empty page (index.htm).
I always have to rename index_2 into index in order to see my web site.

Any clue?

Hi Steve

No, this is not normal.

In Website Properties > Page, change the name of your first page (the home page) to index.html and republish your site.

You might want to start with a clean slate and delete all the files from your web host first and then republish so you have only the current site files.

What I suspect happened is that one time you named your site correctly on export and another time you just named it index and Xara created the second index2 file.

actually,
shame on me. I was just trying some web pages from the design gallery, by dropping a page to the website and didn't notice it actually creates a new page, it not dropped on the blank page which is called, guess what?, index...
Thus index_2 was the 2nd page.

Hopefully nobody will know :-)
