Blender - sapling add-on

This is a fun and fairly easy way to create trees - could come in handy (much) later when I do sceneries...

That looks pretty much like a real tree.

Because of the lighting angle, it would not have worked to use the normal method (ie. an alpha-channeled image of a tree mapped to a plane).

I haven't played with the Sapling add-on, yet. The rate at which Blender is growing, there seems to always be new stuff to play around with!

If you can produce an alpha map of your sapling then its a sinch to use it in background scenery.
