Somehow my index/home page does not update?

When I publish my website all goes fine except all changes made on the home/index page are not updated? What do I do wrong?

I suspect you have two index files.

The browser automatically looks for an index file. If it sees two and one is index.htm and one is index.html, it will always load the index.html, no matter if it is newer or not.
