a problem with the Design (Webdesigner 6)

Hi there.

i have a Question, about Webdesigner 6
well, I've got a problem with the web designer, if I text or make a full square on the edge of my design do, then the program divides the images or blocks in the black. but not with inserted pictures.

what can it be?

Hello Aylo. Welcome to TalkGraphics

For Web Designer 6, any part of an image that goes over the edge of the page, can not be seen in the browser.

Web Designer Premium 7 and Xara Designer Pro 7 have a new feature. You remove the check for Clip to Page Edges and then objects that extend beyond the edge of the page are visible. (see the bottom of this page for an example http://www.xaraxone.com/webxealot/wo...orkbook-5.html)

edit: and yeah why can see not the navigation? its not a picture or what ever

In version 6 you can achieve the same thing by naming any object NoPageClipping - tho I think part of the object has to be on the page :-)

EDIT: all right i have the option, but i have not the NoPageClipping object. what i doing now?

Is this any help / what you was looking for ?

The yellow box is named "NoPageClipping" (via the right click menu) and can be copied and pasted to your own page.

Neodeist is right. Part of the object has to remain on the page.

I'm sorry's not yet have understood how that works with this NoPageClipping
I'm now a clear difference. but that's not very big

I'm scratching my head on this one. What is the point of designing a fixed width page and having content going over the edge?

I'm ready for a Doh! moment.

Is the intention to include the Xara page inside another page? I still don't understand what is going on here.
