My 59-year old eyes mutinied on the dark skin of Designer Pro 6. Thankfully, someone told me how to change the settings back to the original light-gray theme.
If I upgrade to 7 is the same option available? How would I do it?
Thanks,
Dave

I believe it is the same series of keystrokes. I did a quick search of the Help menu for "appearance" and "skins" but came up empty.

Be sure though, cause, then you will need to set your menus/icons back to the way you had them before!
There is another way. By changing the name of a programme file, but I would rather not mention that here.
This other way, however, does not mess up your menus/icons.

OK. Well, I'm sure I'm not doing anything wrong as this has been discussed before.
All I would say is that you do this at your own risk.
I, personally, have not had any problems doing this with DP6 or DP7.
C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara_Designer_Pro_7
Find the file named 'xaradark.cjstyles'
Rename this file (DO NOT DELETE).
I normally rename it 'xaradark.cjstyles_rik' (so that I can easily find it again!)
Restart XDP7 and you should have the old skin back again.
This method has the benefit of not disturbing any menu bars you may have personalised.
I hope Xara never take this function away. Gives the user a great option to decide what they like and carry on using a great programme.
I still keep going back to the dark one to try and get myself used to it.
