Pop Up Problem

Hi Guys, I'm having a problem with pop ups. Here's what I do. I go to the page and layers gallery and create a new layer (HR001) and make sure it is at the top of the list. Then, after making sure that that layer is selected, I go to the design gallery (shapes) and drag a rounded rectangle onto the page. Now, when I go back to the page and layer gallery and click the little "eye" to make it red, the layer does not disappear on the page as it should.

For some reason, I can not <Ctrl>+C, then <Ctrl>+V (copy and paste) the image from the gallery onto the page either. Any ideas? I'm using WD 7.0

OK, I solved the problem. Turns out for some reason I could not clear/erase the clipboard (Windows XP) so that other stuff would appear when I tried copy and paste. But by invoking the "clipbrd" command from the DOS command line, I was able to get into the clip board and dump the old material out and Voila' All is now well. Computers can be really weird sometimes, huh?
