XWD 7 can I eliminate the prompt to publish

As I work on my website I frequently publish just verify it is working as expected. When I click on the publish icon in the toolbar I always get prompted to confirm that I want to publish. Can I set some option to bypass this prompt? I looked and could not find it and I find the prompt rather annoying.

Yes. You are pressing the wrong icon.

There is an icon to the left, the page/eye icon, that is for Preview and Publish.

When you mouse over this icon two similar icons drop down, the first is to preview the current page and the second is to preview the entire site. The keyboard shortcut for preview website is F12 (the function key on your keyboard).

The Publish icon you are currently using is for actually publishing your site to a folder (the first drop down icon) or for uploading your files to your web host (the second icon).

With respect Gary, I read jgt's post as referring to this pop-up as he does actually want to publish to the web, not just export

neodeist - you hit the nail on the head - this is exactly my issue. The preview that Gary mentioned works for most stuff for viewing the page but if I have links that I want to test this does not seem to work in the preview thus I actually need to publish to the internet.
