I am almost sold on getting Xara. But I know MOST of what I will be doing is making people's faces look better. Are there easy tools for enhancing skin and in general enhancing portraits? are there videos?

If I wanted to do that in Xara, I would be using the plugin section for most of the work.
At this link click on PHOTO and view the turorials. I am not sure if your specific needs are in them but they will give you a better idea what Xara can do.
