    Default Cunard Ship

Saw this in a magazine and thought that the artwork was just magnificent.
Then went to the Cunard web site for the picture.

Decided to have a go at drawing it and I did start another thread because I knew I would have a bit of a problem with the linear fill (shading on the left part of the ship.

Lots of Xperts posted and recommended things and I think if I was really going to recreate the shading, I would need to do it in three or four layers.

But, I stuck with my initial challenge and did the linear fill in one go and worked to get it as good as I could.

I'm, sure you will all applaud the original artist who did this for Cunard.

Well, here is my effort at recreating it and the original picture is also attached.

    Excellent Rik, Excellent

you have captured the feel of the pseudo-artdeco magnificently yourself - not a superfluous detail to be seen, lovely drawing

I agree wholeheartedly. It is a style of drawing and painting that I have always admired. Kudos
