Ron, Great looking Chord.
John Logan, the headlights aren't missing they are hidden. The Chord was one of the first automobiles to have headlights that would rotate into the fender when they were not turned on. Making the vehicle more aerodymanic.

Unless I'm mistaken, the car's name is actually spelled "Cord". One of my all-time favourites (and I'm not a car buff). One comment I have - the highlights on the wings (US: fenders) are a bit bright in my opinion - at first I thought the car had a layer of snow on it! Otherwise, another brilliant drawing.

simon,
That is not snow... It is frost! That car is so cool it makes it's own frost.

Hi Ron,
Another wonderful illustration! I agree with Simon about the highlighting on the "wings"
I think he is also correct regarding the spelling of "Cord". If you are interested there is a site dedicated to the Cord and the Autumn Automobile Company at www.automaven.com
Thanks guys,
Actually, the brightness of the fenders is just what was depicted in the photo I drew it from. Very bright sun that day, I guess.

Ron,
The Cord doesn't work for me. The chrome shows green grass and blue skys, yet the background is a pale solid color. I find this disturbing for some reason. Also, I think that if it was in fact on a light pale background, the background would reflect up and the bottom of the car would in fact be lighter.
Just a thought, I like your work a lot. Just something something about this one........
