In this case it's an adhesive mohawk.

I don't know much about the helmets, but I think Sledger is right, from the photo I have it does look like it is applied with some kind of adhesive, after factory

I've seen Merv's original photo somewhere elseYou can clearly see the adhesive strip.

Thank you all for your kind comments, I enjoy trying new things to draw with Xara. I am so glad I found this site and got XaraI'm glad everyone likes the leather, it was the part I was afraid to try.
