I agree with Bob (for once ). It does not need the apostrophe because it is not possessive. It is just more than one G and less than three Gs.

Gene suggested 2G 3D since that is what we do. So I tried a solution with that in mind. It works but I always prefer simple.

I also tried a very elegant 2 (Poster Bodoni MT) which plays nicely with the simplicity of the D shape.

    Another couple of contenders.

If it's 'Publishing', then make the centre part look a bit building like, with columns.
    It's a thought.

Gary, I think I prefer Riks current final offering that has a building facade built into the logo - quite appropriate for a publishing "house". Give you an air of trust and longevity in a contemporary style.

I think the rounded G pairs can look quite rude and a little rude as a single. Riks first effort with the bold 2 breaking the outline avoided that.

Great choice for a name and it will be a great logo too.

Who is the moderator of this thread because it is full of spamming! The writer who started the thread is advetising a forth comming book and it is full of his logos it should not be allowed. Who is the moderator of the gallery anyway? The second one Gary but still needs slightly tweaked.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    Hi Gary

I like the original number one with the plain curved '2' in the 'G', clever idea.

How about something like this? There is the '2' in the 'G' ... with the '3' created by the mirror image.

It would need some reshaping to look better ... but just an idea ... oh and did another one with dual colours.

    Regards

    Su

Brilliant Su, and excellent idea Rik. Denis, nice design but too much happening for my simple tastes.

In the old days I would have to do this stuff all by myself. Now I have collaborators.

I liked the second too. Until Fred pointed it out I didn't see the 2 in the first one, and was struggling to make sense of the design, but now that I see it I think it's very clever. Therefore my first impression stands, I find number 2 the strongest and has the most visual impact. Mostly it just appeals to me. Just my 2 cents worth.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
