How do you add a seamless background?

Modified Steve, but yes I did not even know that capability was there. The toolbar is hidden in the bottom of the Window > Control Bars palette. You cannot, for example drag and drop a color or bitmap onto the pasteboard.

Yes, because P&GD is only as capable as WD5 and Xtreme 5, you can't drag colours to the paste board with those versions either.

The Website toolbar appears second from the top in the Control Bars palette

I tried to do the seamless background as you mentioned and got a Access Violation exception at 0x00684D94. I just placed in the screen capture. What is the process of adding a seamless background that will not cause a dag-on crash...

I need to know if someone can help me so I can how this works with XWD6. I am frustrated trying to get it do do a seamless background. I made a small sample seamless background. I also have a site sample that I designed in a few seconds in Dreamweaver of a full seamless background with the attached image so you understand what I mean.. Well, I have no idea what caused your AV, but the fastest way to create a seamless tiled background from a prepared image is shown in my attached video.

Any easy way to avoid a crash is use that memory address in ollydbg, put a breakpoint on the routine that uses it and use all the methods and find one that doesn't halt

. Or just wait for devs to fix it. I've had many wild crashes in xara over the years, I've never bothered trying to replicate them, and just used an alternative method.

Do you have DEP on by any chance? UAC in vista/7 could also be causing it when the program tries to access caches.

I'm not going to make a video, but from my experience the fill->repeat method is the fastest/easiest way to make seamless textures for anything from 3D modeling to web page fills.
