If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

I've fixed it - by uploading an old version of the site. I dont know why but the one made in the current version of web designer doesnt work - seems corrupted or something.
If I want to change just say one thing on the website in future, which files do I transfer - just the relevant page .htm file? I don't touch the index_htm_files folder?
Ah, it's looking good again!

In Xara, just make whatever change you want to make and make sure the little box in at the bottom of the Publish tab is checked
In Filezilla, you can use Synchronized Browsing
If you have an identical directory structure on the local machine and the server, you can enable synchronized browsing. This means that any directory navigation on one machine is duplicated on the other.
To enable synchronized browsing, create an entry in the Site Manager, and on the Advanced tab, ensure that the Default local directory and the Default remote directory have the same structure. Then check "use synchronized browsing," save your settings, and connect.
Or you can use Directory Comparison
To quickly see differences between files on the local machine and the server, choose View > Directory Comparison, and choose either "compare file size" or "compare modification time." (You also hide identical files by checking that option.) Then choose "Enable."
You will now see colour-coded differences between copies of the same file on the different machines.

All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.
-Gandalf (from Lord of the Rings) - Xara s/w - Xara Designer Pro X11
The site seems to be working fine when I try it in IE and Firefox. However in Chrome I am getting this on the contact page. I am running windows 7 64bit - could this be an isolated compatibility issue with chrome 32bit and windows 64bit?
Hi Stuart
This is a browser cache issue, press CTRL+F5 to reload a fresh copy from the server.

Ok thanks it seems to be working now.
I would say that in response to the original query, WD is still giving me the Permission Denied message when I try to upload through the program - this is despite me deleting all potentially conflicting files from the server, contacting my ISP who say this is not their issue and getting it to work fine with Filezilla with the same passwords etc.
Therefore I think this is a WD issue - it can't be anything else.
WD6 uses the exact same protocol as FileZilla. So if you can connect and upload via FZ then the same details will work with WD6.
Please post a screenshot of the publishing tab with your details entered (the password will be masked, so it's safe to do so) - it's likely that something is being entered incorrectly.
