Hi, testing the new Xara Photo & graphic Designer and I made a 3d extrude to an object, now I want another objekt to be extruded in the same perspective. I copy the first object and then try to paste its style on the new but nothing happens.

I'm not sure if this will work. But create a new object after you have created and edited the extrusion, select the Extrude Tool and click the 3D icon. I think the same extrusion will be applied to the new object.

Wow, I never knew that! Seems to work sometimes and not others. I don't think I've understood what is happening...

OK I just tried this and it does work. Create your extrusion. From the Edit menu select Copy Extrusion. Select the object to which you want to apply the extrusion. From the Edit menu, select Paste Format/Attributes.
Switch to the Extrude Tool then click the 3D icon.

So it does. Thanks, Gary.
Well, I'm afraid it doesn't work for me! Often as not the Paste Format/Attributes is greyed out.
Which tool is in operation when you copy the extrusion (select or extrude?)
Can you apply your technique to any previously created extrusion, or only one you've just created?
Clarification appreciated
Tony
See attached. Note that the extrusion on the rectangle is the same as the one on the ellipse. The dimensions of the second shape can affect the appearance of the extrusion so it looks different. You may have to adjust the appearance to get them to look more similar.
Thanks for that. Sadly, it doesn't work for me more than about one in 10 times!

I find it works just by ctrl + C on original then select new shape with 3D Tool and ctrl+Shift+A
